"We were moving the ball pretty well on offense, they were moving the ball pretty well on offense ... we challenged our kids at halftime. This team has worked too hard to let a game get away at this stage in the season after all we've gone through. We played a heck of a lot better. They rose to the challenge and on offense we made the plays where we had to and got a hard fought win."

"I think we showed a lot of character in the second half. We made plays when we had to and were able to ice the game at the end."

"We have to keep grinding and swinging our pick. I am very, very proud and I look forward to getting to work tomorrow on Idaho."

"He (Utah State quarterback Diondre Borel) is elusive back there. He made a lot of plays. We were trying to get to him with a four-man rush and we were having trouble getting there."

"We really responded in the second half. Our coaches challenged us at halftime and it really makes you enjoy being a part of this team because of the heart and the leadership this team has. There is a great core of leaders on this team and they were not going to allow us to lose this game."

"I just do what I got to do and I run the ball. I trust my linemen 100 percent, because I know they're going to work their tail off trying to get me that six or seven yards that we need. They don't get enough glory for what they do. Everything I do is for them. I have to give them the credit because they're doing all the work."

Utah State Head Coach Gary Andersen

"It was a tough loss. Fresno State made more plays than us to get the win. They have a tremendous back (Ryan Mathews). He wears on you and that's what a good back does. He finds to wear you out. They have a great offensive line. I've said that all week. They wear on you. We had opportunities to get out of that last drive, but didn't make a play. We needed to execute better in the fourth quarter.

Utah State Quarterback Diondre Borel

"Defenisvely, we need to stop the run more, but that's a good back (Mathews) in the backfield. Offensively, we needed to put touchdowns on the board. Our special teams played great, but we needed to score more touchdowns. Fresno State is a good team and we both played tough today."
