Senior Bryce Harris made his 39th consecutive start at left tackle for the bulldogs.
Jalen Saunders' six-yard catch on the second offensive play of the game for the Bulldogs gave him a reception in 26-straight games.
L.J. Jones forced his first career fumble on San Diego State's second drive of the game. The ball went out of bounds and SDSU retained possession.
Cody Wichmann blocked Abelardo Perez's 51-yard field goal attempt (his fourth block of the season) and Isaiah Green picked it up and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown. It was Fresno State's first blocked field goal that was returned for a TD since Oct. 6, 2007, when A.J. Jefferson returned it 40 yards for a TD.
The blocked kick was Fresno State's 10th of the season (nine kicks, one punt), which ties with the 1999 team for the most under head coach Pat Hill.
Fresno State stopped Ronnie Hillman on the one-yard line on fourth-and-goal at 4:32.
The Bulldogs only had 20 yards of offense in the first quarter, but held a 7-0 lead.
Jalen Saunders caught an 88-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr at 14:24. It was Saunders' second TD catch of over 80 yards this year, his sixth of over 50 yards and his seventh consecutive game with a touchdown catch.
For Saunders, he went over 1,000 yards receiving on the season with that play, becoming the seventh Bulldog to have a 1,000-yard receiving season.
Robbie Rouse's three-yard run at 10:18 put him over 1,500 rushing yards on the season, becoming the third Bulldog tailback ever to do so. It came on his third carry of the game.
Derek Carr connected with Isaiah Burse on a 54-yard catch at 9:27. It was Carr's 10th completion of 50 or more yards this year.
Josh Harper caught 23-yard touchdown at 9:14 for his fifth TD of the season, the most by a Bulldog freshman receiver in the last 10 years.
Robbie Rouse's fourth carry of the game gave him 600 rushing attempts in his career. He joins Michael Pittman (1993-97) as the only players in school history with over 600 carries in a career.
Carr threw for 213 yards in the first half, giving him 3,421 on the season. That moves him into third place for the most passing yards in Fresno State single-season history.
Jalen Saunders' 11-yard reception at 1:24 put him over 100 yards receiving in the game, which is his fifth 100-yard receiving game this year.
Robbie Rouse scored his 25 career rushing touchdown of his career at 12:34. That is tied for the 11th most in program history.
Derek Carr went over 300 yards passing for his fourth 300-yard game of the season.
Travis Brown recorded his third sack of the season on a third down at 6:29. It was the fifth of his career.
