    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State football team celebrated its 2012 season and Mountain West championship Friday night at the Fresno Convention Center with the 2012 Football Awards Banquet.

    The Bulldogs, who went 9-4 overall in 2012 and played in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl, received their championship rings from going 7-1 in their first season in the Mountain West to tie for the league championship.

    The 22 seniors on the team were honored at the banquet and running back Robbie Rouse was named the Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season.

    Don Duncan Over Achiever Award: Tristan Okpalaugo

    Directors Academic Award: Shawn Plummer

    Dick Duncan Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year: Josh Quezada

    Dick Duncan Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year: Matt Akers

    Team Captain Award - Special Teams: Andrew Shapiro

    Team Captain Award - Offense: Derek Carr and Robbie Rouse

    Team Captain Award - Defense: Phillip Thomas and Jeremiah Toma

    Most Valuable Player: Robbie Rouse
