COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West released Thursday the package of Friday football telecasts for the 2014 season and three Fresno State football game dates - two on the road and one at home - were moved to accommodate the national telecast.
Thursday's announcement of the initial slate of televised games set for CBS Sports Network and the three ESPN networks featured 11 games, three of which Fresno State was chosen for (two for an ESPN Network and one for CBSSN).
The three games that move to a Friday date are the Bulldogs' game at New Mexico, now on Sept. 26, the home game against San Diego State, now set for Oct. 3, and their contest at Boise State, changed to Oct. 17.
The Sept. 26 New Mexico game is slated for telecast on either ESPN or ESPN2 and will kick off at 5 p.m. PT.
Fresno State's Oct. 3 home game against San Diego State will be televised on the CBS Sports Network with a 7 p.m. PT kickoff.
Finally, the Oct. 17 game at Boise State will air on ESPN and kickoff at 5 p.m. PT. This now marks the 13th time in the last 14 years that the Fresno State-Boise State game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Between the two television partners, up to 48 football games will be televised this year on their various national platforms. Additional broadcasts by CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks, ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks.
It is anticipated that all remaining MW-controlled games in the 2014 schedule will be played on Saturdays.
"Catch the Wave" - The official home of the Fresno State Bulldogs is 940 AM ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes 1600 AM.
