COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West released Thursday the balance of its football national television package for the 2014 season, which included the selection of four additional Fresno State games.
The additional 34 games announced Thursday will be aired by CBS Sports Network and ESPN exclusively on Saturdays. Between the two television networks, 45 football games thus far will be aired this coming season on various platforms. Last week, the MW announced an 11-game Friday package on CBS Sports Network and ESPN.
In addition to the three national TV games that Fresno State received with last week's announcement, the Bulldogs are now scheduled for seven national broadcasts this season.
Of Fresno State's four selections announced on Thursday, two were picked up by CBS Sports Network and two are slated to air on one of the ESPN network of channels. Those four games are:
Saturday, Sept. 13 vs. Nebraska - 7:30 p.m. - CBS Sports Network
Kick times and specific outlets for the remaining ESPN network contests will be determined during the course of the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
Thursday's announcement previews CBS Sports Network's ninth season as the primary rights holder of Mountain West football. This fall also marks the MW's second year back on the ESPN networks.
Additional broadcasts by ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks.
