FRESNO, Calif. - With the 2009 Bulldog football season a few short months away, the Fresno State Athletics Department has approximately 1,900 premium seats remaining for sale in Bulldog Stadium. To purchase these seats, a Bulldog Foundation Membership is required and the good news for fans is that the required membership levels have been reduced by 20% for this seating area. All of the premium seats come with chair-backed seating, many of them in the red seat section, and are located in prime locations on both the east and west sidelines. Some of the prime seats became available when the athletics department decided to move the Bulldog team to the east sideline for the 2009 season. Previously the visiting team used that sideline and a block of premium seats were made available to fans of the visiting teams. That is no longer the case, as the visiting section has been relocated, freeing up premium seating for Bulldog fans. Additionally, the Bulldog Marching Band will return to the stands in the south east corner of the stadium in the student-section. The Bulldogs play five home games in 2009, opening the season with UC Davis on Sept. 5 and then hosting defending WAC champion Boise State two weeks later. Head coach Pat Hill has guided the Bulldogs to nine bowl games in the last 10 seasons and is expecting another exciting season this fall. Fresno State returns some of the WAC's top defensive players in end Chris Carter, linebacker Ben Jacobs and safety Moses Harris. On offense, the Bulldogs will have an outstanding trio of running backs in Ryan Mathews, Lonyae Miller and Anthony Harding and exciting receivers Seyi Ajirotutu, Marlon Moore, Chastin West, Rashad Evans and Devon Wylie.
Fans selecting seats in these sections will have the first right of refusal for renewals each year, and the future home football schedules in the coming years include premiere college football programs that have never played in Bulldog Stadium: Nebraska, Colorado, Rutgers, Cincinnati and Ole Miss. "This is a fantastic opportunity to get a great price for the best seats in the house," said Associate Athletics Director Danny White. "With the increased level of competition we have scheduled to come to Bulldog Stadium in the coming years, this is a perfect time to make an investment and secure prime real estate for years to come. We don't expect these seats, at these price points, to be available for long."
