Rouse, a senior running back, and Burse, a junior wide receiver, are both versatile athletes that are expected to contribute in all facets of the game.
Rouse, a first-team All-WAC selection in 2011, enters his senior season just 317 yards away from breaking the school's all-time rushing record. His 3,157 career rushing yardage is the third-most among active players in the FBS, trailing only Wisconsin's Montee Ball (3,310) and Michgan's Denard Robinson (3,229).
In addition to his duties as a running back, Rouse has 47 career receptions for 359 yards and three touchdowns and is expected to compete this fall to handle the teams punt return duties.
Burse has caught 53 passes for 626 yards and three touchdowns in his career and led the team with 2,042 all-purpose yards in 2011. Last year he also set new NCAA records for most kickoff returns (75) and kickoff return yardage (1,606) in a single-season. The Modesto, Calif. native averaged 123.5 all-purpose yards per game in 2011.
