LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Mountain West Network announced Tuesday its initial digital telecast schedule for the 2013 football season, which included a pair of Fresno State games.
San Diego State's season and home opener against non-conference opponent Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Aug. 31 will kick off a series of five Saturday contests that will be streamed live exclusively on the Mountain West Network. The MWN will also carry UNLV's non-conference meeting with Central Michigan on Sept. 14, as well as three Mountain West matchups: UNLV at Fresno State (Oct. 19), San Jose State at UNLV (Nov. 2) and Fresno State at Wyoming (Nov. 9).
In addition to these five MW network-produced games, the MWN will also retain the digital streaming rights to the 10 previously-announced ROOT SPORTS football telecasts. Digital streams of those games will be made available on the MWN in those areas that fall outside both the ROOT SPORTS Rocky Mountain and Northwest territories, and any additional markets for which the games have been sublicensed to local cable or broadcast networks. The MWN will also endeavor to carry streams from the games that currently remain untelevised and may be produced or streamed by the host institution or a local television provider.
The Mountain West is comprised of 11 all-sport members and 12 football-playing institutions: the United States Air Force Academy, Boise State University, Colorado State University, Fresno State, University of Hawai`i (football only), University of Nevada, University of New Mexico, San Diego State University, San Jose State University, UNLV, Utah State University and University of Wyoming.
