FRESNO, Calif. - The excitement for the 2000 Fresno State football season is resulting in an increase in season football ticket sales. According to ticket manager Scott Wetherbee, Fresno State has sold just over 25,000 season tickets, ahead of last year's pace and on track to break the all-time record of 28,375 season tickets sold in 1993.

As of noon on Wed., Aug. 9, 25,113 season tickets have been sold. In addition, the Family Value Packages were sold out. There are a limited number of Family Fun Packages remaining. The Family Fun Package, which includes two adult and two children's reserved season tickets, sell for $216.

Season tickets will go on sale to the Fresno State student body on Aug. 21 at the ticket office.

"We have had a great response to the Family Value Packages and they sold really fast," said Wetherbee. "The Family Fun Packages are also selling very well and I would think we will sell out of them soon. We are also going to be offering student tickets on sale at a great price. People are excited about the football season. With the success of the team last year, the number of good players coming back, and with an opponent like Cal to open the home schedule, that makes for a great combination. "

Single game tickets will go on sale Sept. 5. Season tickets and Family Fun Packages are available at the Bulldog Ticket Office, online at www.gobulldogs.com, or by calling (559) 278-DOGS.
