FRESNO, Calif. - The first Fresno State football game is just three weeks away, but don't wait until then to check out the 2007 Bulldogs. Saturday, August 11, Fresno State is opening Bulldog Stadium for its first live scrimmage of the year, beginning at 7:45 p.m.

Fresno State is preparing for its season opener on September 1, when it hosts Sacramento State at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
"The first week of practice was exciting. It gave us a chance to look at this young, talented team, that is looking to get back to playing `Bulldog Football,'" Head Coach Pat Hill said. "I think our fans are going to enjoy watching these players, and I hope they come and check them out Saturday night."
Saturday night will also feature a public address announcer, music on the field and a fun environment.
The Bulldogs enter the season picked to finish third in the WAC, and face an exciting home schedule that features Boise State and Kansas State.
Fresno State also returns a core group of offensive and defensive players, which is looking to build on winning three of its last four games in 2006.
