FRESNO, Calif. - Counting down to the first scrimmage of fall camp, Fresno State continued two-a-days today in 100 degree heat at the Fresno State practice facility, wrapping up Day No. 3 of fall practice.
"Today was a really tough day," head coach Pat Hill said. "The players worked really hard today, and I was impressed with the way they performed, especially early in practice. We're going to continue to get stronger and better, and eventually we'll be executing just as good at the end of practice."
The first session of practice, which ran from 7:15-8:45 a.m., focused primarily on first and second down situations. First-and-10, second-and-eight, second-and-five and second-and-three situation were those on which special time was given.
The Bulldogs returned in the heat of the day for a 4:30-6:30 p.m. practice session. The session wrapped up with wide receivers, quarterbacks, running backs and kickers doing light wind sprints while the linebackers and linemen lifted weights.
