FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's season ticket sales count continues to climb as over 26,000 season tickets have been sold as of 9 a.m. this morning, according to athletics ticket manager Scott Wetherbee.
This morning's total of 26,041 is well ahead of pace to break the all-time record of 28,375 season tickets sold in 1993. Season tickets for Fresno State students will go on sale on Monday at the Bulldog ticket office.
"Ticket sales have been very steady," Wetherbee said. "We have a lot of people taking advantage of the Family Fun Packages and we have a lot of new season ticket purchases. We have a great season ticket package for students this year and that should drive more sales. Our online sales are also doing very well. This is the first year we've sold tickets using our Web site and that has improved our sales."
According to Wetherbee, a limited number of Family Fun Packages remain. The Family Fun Package, which includes two adult and two children's reserved season tickets, sell for $216.
Fresno State is coming off an 8-5 overall record and WAC championship in 1999. The Bulldogs made their first bowl appearance since 1993, losing to Utah 17-16 in the EA Sports Las Vegas Bowl.
Single game tickets will go on sale Sept. 5. Season tickets and Family Fun Packages are available at through Bulldog Ticket Office by calling (559) 278-DOGS or by clicking "TICKETS" in the left-hand sidebar of this screen.
