FRESNO, Calif. - A California Bowl hero and a seasoned broadcast professional well known to Fresno State fans will join the KMPH broadcast crew for Fresno State football games this fall.

KMPH, which owns the television broadcasting rights to Bulldogs football and men's basketball games, and Fresno State made the joint announcement today.

Ralph Wood, KMPH Sports Director, will continue as the play-by-play voice of the Bulldogs. Joining Wood in the booth as the analyst will be Randy Rosenbloom, who did television play-by-play for Fresno State football and men's basketball from 1987-94. He replaces Alan Autry, who could not return for his third season due to his campaign for mayor of Fresno.

Rosenbloom, who has Olympic broadcasting experience for NBC Sports for the 1992 and 1996 Games, has also been the television analyst for BYU football and basketball, UCLA basketball and UNLV football play-by-play. He was also the voice over play-by-play announcer for the HBO hit series "1st and 10."

Vince Wesson, a Fresno State receiver from 1982-85, will be the sideline reporter, a new addition to the KMPH broadcasts. Wesson, who caught the game-winning touchdown against Bowling Green in the Bulldogs' 29-28 victory in California Bowl II, is a graduate of Fresno State with a degree in speech communication. Most recently he has served as a guest host and analyst on 1430 AM ESPN Radio.
