    Fresno State senior linebacker Marcus Riley has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of September 4.

    The senior from Sacramento led the Bulldogs with 11 tackles in their season-opening 24-3 victory over Sacramento State. Riley had one tackle for a loss and broke up one pass play, as the Fresno State defense held Sacramento State to only 104 yards of offense, the least amount of yards in the nation. Riley helped anchor the defense from his linebacker position and was full strength for the first time in nearly two years.
