Huff Breaks into the Nation's Top Five in Quarterback Sacks

FRESNO, Calif. - The NCAA today released its first ever individual defensive statistics and several WAC players are ranked including three in the top 10 in sacks.
TCU senior defensive end Aaron Schobel is tied for first nationally in sacks with 2.00 per game. Fresno State senior linebacker Orlando Huff is fifth with 1.67 per outing while Schobel's teammate, junior Joe Hill, is tied for ninth with 1.50 sacks per contest. SMU's Markus Pratt is also ranked 21st with 1.13 sacks per game. No other conference has three players in the top 10.
Huff has terrorized opposing offenses the entire season with his speed, agility and power from the outside linebacker position. The Upland, Calif., native leads the Bulldogs with 31 tackles. He has six tackles for loss, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery he returned 46 yards against Ohio State. Huff has been regarded as an NFL-caliber linebacker by scouts.
The NCAA will send out two more reports during the year, one on October 31
and a final one on December 5.
