Josh Harper Honored for Performance at Hawai'i

LAS VEGAS. - Fresno State wide receiver Josh Harper was announced on Wednesday as the SEVEN Magazine Mountain West Player of the Week by the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl committee. The award marks the third time a member from the Fresno State football team has collected the fan generated honor out of the four-week-old college football season.
Harper played a vital role in the 'Dogs 42-37 victory over the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors last Saturday on the Islands. The junior wide receiver grabbed nine receptions for a career-high 123 yards en route to the win. In addition, he was on the other end of two touchdown throws from quarterback Derek Carr which brings Harper's season total to six, tied for fifth-best in the NCAA. In three of four games this season Harper has registered two touchdowns in a game, while being held out of the end zone in just one contest.
Fresno State's offense ranks No. 12 in the nation in scoring at 44.0 points per game and has scored 40-plus points in nine of their last 10 games. The `Dogs take their high octane offense on the road this weekend as they will face Idaho on Saturday at 2 p.m. PT. The game will be aired live on the local Fresno NBC affiliate, KSEE24.
