Bulldog Sports Network to Hit FM Stereo
Oct. 4, 2011
FRESNO, Calif. - History hits the airwaves Friday afternoon as KMJ delivers Fresno State's football game against No. 5 Boise State in FM stereo.
In addition to the regular broadcast on 50,000-watt KMJ-AM (580), the flagship station of the Bulldog Sports Network will also simulcast the game on KMJ-FM (105.9) for the first time ever.
"Our goal is always to be the listeners' eyes and ears, and make them feel like they are right there at the game," says Paul Loeffler, KMJ's Sports Director who will announce the game with color analyst Jordan Christensen and sideline reporter Ralph Wood. "What better way to bring the game experience to the fans than to broadcast in stereo, making all the sounds of the game even more palpable."
The game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. KMJ's AM/FM simulcast will commence at 3:30 p.m. with Bulldogs Live, hosted by Steve Gonzalez and Alexan Balekian.
