`Bring It Home' Football Alumni Weekend Planned

FRESNO, Calif. - The second-annual 'Bring It Home' weekend for Fresno State football alumni is taking place this weekend in conjunction with the Bulldogs' Homecoming game on Saturday against UNLV.
Former Bulldog football players are welcome to take part in a weekend full of festivities that all leads up to the 17th-ranked Bulldogs hosting UNLV at 7 p.m. in a Mountain West game between two teams tied atop the West Division standings.
The football alumni will be recognized on the field during the game and will form a tunnel for the team to run through as they enter the field before the game.
The weekend kicks off of Thursday, Oct. 17 with the Dan Brown Legacy Fund Restaurant TAKEOVER from 6-10 p.m. at Dog House Grill located on 2789 E. Shaw Ave. There will be all you can eat ribs, chicken, tri-tip and more for just $35 per person and part of the proceeds go to the Dan Brown Legacy Fund. Visit DanBrownLegacyFund.com for tickets.
On Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. there will be a Homecoming pep rally in the Red Lot located next to Bulldog Stadium.
Then on gameday Saturday, the KYJO's second annual BBQ cook-off takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fresno State's O'Neill Park located on Barstow and Woodrow on the north side of campus. Fresno State football alumni will team up with BBQ Pitmasters in the ultimate bragging rights competition.
At 3 p.m. on Saturday is the Fresno State Football Alumni Tailgate that is being hosted by the ThiesenDueker Financial Consulting Group and is located on the grass field behind the right-field wall at Pete Beiden Field.

The final event of the weekend takes place the day after the game on Sunday, Oct. 20, with the launch party for the Cameron Worrell Foundation. The event held at the Standard Restaurant and Lounge runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is designed to help underprivileged youth participate in sports.
There will be games, appetizers, raffles, an NFL Pick'em and a silent auction featuring NFL, NBA, MLB and MMA Memorabilia at the launch party for former Bulldog football player Cameron Worrell and his foundation.
