COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State junior quarterback Derek Carr was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday by the league. This is the second time this season Carr has received the award. Carr led Fresno State back from a 21-0 deficit to register a 49-32 win at New Mexico, throwing for 416 yards and four touchdowns. The Bakersfield, Calif., native completed 31-of-44 passes (70.4 percent) with one interception while orchestrating an offensive effort that outscored the Lobos by a 35-8 margin in the second half. The 400-yard performance was Carr's second of 2012, tying the Mountain West record for most 400-yard passing games in a season. With Fresno State trailing 24-14 at intermission, Carr threw two touchdown passes in the third quarter to give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game. His first TD of the second half was a 21-yarder to Marcel Jensen that cut UNM's lead to three, 24-21 at 9:46 of the third quarter. Then just over two minutes later, Carr connected with Davante Adams on a third-and-15 for an 89-yard touchdown pass that put the Bulldogs on top for good. That 89-yard pass play marked the fourth-longest in the FBS this season. Carr's four-touchdown game was his fifth this season with three or more touchdown passes and he now has thrown 26 TDs on the year. Carr By The Numbers
