LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Fresno State senior running back Robbie Rouse has been named the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas Mountain West Player of the week as voted on by fans on Facebook, the bowl announced Wednesday.

Rouse is the first player to reach the 600-vote mark in the two seasons of this award. He wins his first nod of the season, but the fourth for Fresno State after he rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries in the Bulldogs' 52-36 win at Nevada on Saturday.

Each week, players from both the Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences will be selected for nomination and then posted for voting. All college football fans are welcome to cast their vote starting on Monday each week for Player of the Week at www.facebook.com/lvbowl.

Rouse's 261-yard performance against Nevada last Saturday led Fresno State to a 52-36 victory and brought the Bulldogs within one game of capturing their first conference championship since 1999.

It was Rouse's third-career 200-yard game, setting a new school record, and his second 200-yard game against Nevada in his career.
