Bulldog quarterback Derek Carr threw for 336 yards on 19-of-35 passing with two touchdowns for Fresno State in its season finale at San Diego State. It was his fourth 300-yard passing game of the season. Carr averaged 17.7 yards per completion as he connected on two passes of over 50 yards in the game. His 88-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Saunders in the second quarter was the 10th longest in the FBS this season and was his sixth TD of over 50 yards this year. Carr finishes the year with 3,544 passing yards, to lead the WAC and that ranked 10th nationally while going down as the third-best passing season in school history and the most yardage ever by a sophomore at Fresno State.
