Watney on Doverspike:"Grant returns as the team MVP. He won his second college tournament in just his sophomore year when he captured the San Marcos Invitational with an eagle on the last hole. Grant is a 5 talent guy and he is doing the right things with that talent. He is gifted in that he can bring in that 3 iron softly but he also works hard to insure that he hits the fairway when the heat is on, he gets the up-and-downs that you are supposed to get and he is prepared when he gets that extra-tough fairway bunker shot. He is a two-time All-WAC first team member and an All-Western Region Player. That's all very good but I'm predicting this is his break-out year. Grant has the potential to be an All-American and a future tour player. That will take a lot of work but Grant is showing the dedication necessary to achieve those goals. Like all of our previous All-Americans, that will be a treat to watch."
