Coach's Comments: Nate is the Dustin Johnson of this team. Davis Love said Dustin was probably the best athlete of the 2012 Ryder Cup team. Nate is also a great athlete and freakishly long. He has an extra gear that can make the long courses seem easy. Nate has shot a 65 in a college tournament and finished 2nd in the Winchester Classic. With his strength and calm demeaner, it wouldn't surprise me to see Nate in the low 60's this season. Nate is a coach's dream. He works much harder than asked for in the weight room, on the practice tee, at the short game area, and in the attitude department. If everyone did that little bit extra like Nate, we would be a top five team with a legitimate chance to win the NCAA. His hard work is paying off. Nate now tees it up knowing that he can beat anyone in the field and he usually does. His repertoire of shots around the green is second to none and he practices them enough to be able to pull them off in the heat of competition. |
