Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies HS: Team captain four years ... MVP four years ... won CIF City Section Championship.

Personal: Born on September 6, 1994 in Ventura, Calif. ... Parents are Narisa and Somchai Tonkham ... younger sister, Tyra Tonkham ... also enjoys listening to music and watching sports on TV ... favorite athlete is John Huh because he works so hard ... biggest athletic thrill was winning CIF City Section Championship ... most admires his family because of all the support they give ... chose Fresno State because of the strong golf program that will help improve his game.

Coach's Comments: He has a grin like an excited rookie freshman but a game like an experienced veteran. He has shown the team that he can play and I believe that his enthusiasm to work has motivated some of the older players to re-evaluate their own efforts. But the thing that makes Troix better than most is that he controls the driver. He doesn't waste two or three strokes per round hitting the driver in bad places. It seems that the tougher the course, the better he plays. I don't think there is going to be a long break-in period with Troix. I think this freshman will be a regular in the lineup and someone who is instrumental in elevating the team to a new level.
