FRESNO, Calif.--The Fresno State men's golf team woke up bright and early Tuesday, Feb. 19 and finished round one of The Prestige in which they were unable to finish on Monday, Feb. 18 due to darkness.

Following completion of round one, the Bulldogs continued on the PGA West, Norman course and began round two.

The Bulldogs sit in 10th place with 23 over par, 591 (291-300).

However, some teams were unable to finish round two and will complete round two on Wednesday morning.

Unlike round one, the 'Dogs played in tremendous and tough wind conditions during the second day.

"Sometimes you just get the bad end of the draw, so I not going to complain," head coach Mike Watney said. "From what we hear, there will be even heavier wind tomorrow, but we are looking forward to round three."

Bulldog Johnny Partridge shot one over par, 72 in round two. Partridge (77-72--149) is currently tied for 49th place.

"Johnny had a fantastic round, given the conditions he was playing in," Watney said. "He hasn't played much in the lineup, but Johnny is getting better and better and had a really good round."

Rufie Fessler followed his first round 67 with a 78 in the tough conditions and is tied for 24th.

Nate Jessup is in 43rd place following 72-76.

The Bulldogs return to action at The Prestige on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at PGA West, Norman Course.
