    FRESNO, Calif. - In his Division I tournament debut, junior Johnny Partridge shot a 2-over, 72 during the first round of the North Ranch Intercollegiate to help the Bulldogs (296-308--604, +44) finish the day in sixth place out of 14 teams.

    Partridge (72-79--151, +11) came out with nine straight pars and followed it with a birdie on the 456-yard, par 4 first. After carding a 9-over, 79 during his second round, he sits in a tie for 26th with fellow teammate Rufie Fessler (76-75--151, +11). Fessler recorded the third-best par 5 scoring at 3-under, 4.25.

    The 'Dogs were led by Brian Sunker who is tied for 18th after shooting two solid rounds of 73 and 76, respectively. Sunker (+9) carded seven birdies on the day which was the second-most out of the field.

    Both Nate Jessup (76-78--154) and Jack Mulroy (75-79--154) ended the day in a tie for 34th at 14-over.

    Fresno State along with New Mexico and San Diego were the only teams not to have a player shoot an 80 or over.

    The 'Dogs will conclude action at the North Ranch Intercollegiate Tuesday with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m. PT.
