FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's golf team lost 3-2 to Seattle in the championship round of the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Match Play Challenge. The tournament, hosted by Cal Poly, was held at the 6,803-yard, par-72 Cypress Ridge Golf Course.

"It was fun because it was very close," head coach Mike Watney said. "They were hitting clutch shots with a lot of pressure on."

Both Brian Sunker and Jack Mulroy birdied the 18th to defeat their opponents 1-up. However, Rufie Fessler and Keenan Nelson finished 1-down and Nate Jessup lost 3 and 1.

"We Are Your Team!" - The Bulldogs return to action March 30 - April 1 to compete in the The U.S. Intercollegiate held at Stanford Golf Course.
