Round Two Play Moves 'Dogs Up

    STANFORD, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's golf team moved into the top-ten of the 18-team field at the Stanford-hosted tournament The Goodwin.

    In a comeback round by Keenan Nelson and Michael Pugh, the duo helped move the Bulldogs from their day one tie for 15th place to end the day in a tie for eighth place. The 'Dogs decreased their round two score by three strokes to finish the day at 15-over par, 575 (289-286).

    Keenan Nelson fired one-under par on the day to move into a tie for 26th place out of 93 players. On the tournament, Nelson sits two-over par, 142 (73-69) with ten birdies.

    Michael Pugh carded one-over par, 71 to improve his round two score by six strokes. On the tournament, Pugh sits in a tie for 62nd place at eight-over par, 148 (77-71).

    Keeping his lead among the Bulldogs, senior Nate Jessup sits even-par, 140 (68-72) in a tie for 20th place.
