STOCKTON, Calif -- In his first season as a Bulldog, junior Neil Bautista recorded his first-ever top-20 finish to bring home a tie for 19th place among the 59-player field at the Pacific Invitational on Saturday.

Bautista recorded his three lowest rounds of the season for a total score of even-par, 213 (72-70-71).

Over three rounds of play, Bautista made 12 birdies and capped the third round of the tournament with an eagle on the 14th hole.

"Neil had a very solid tournament," head coach Chad Spencer said.

Concluding its fall season, the Fresno State men's golf team took home an 11th place finish at 32-over par, 884 (301-289- 294).

"We didn't finish the fall the way we wanted to, but we are looking forward to the spring," Spencer said. "We have a lot of potential, we just need the guys to step up in the same week."

The Bulldogs tee off their spring season on Jan 27-28 in Costa Mesa, Calif. at the UCI Anteater Invitational.
