FRESNO, Calif. -- The men's golf team tees off its 2012-13 spring season on Monday, Feb. 11 at the Farms Collegiate Invitational. The two-day tournament, hosted by University of San Diego, will be played on The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. near San Diego, Calif.

"Experience, that will be the key for us this week," head coach Mike Watney said. "We have the good fortune to have four returning players to the Farms." The 'Dogs lineup includes Rufie Fessler, Nate Jessup, Troix Tonkham, Jack Mulroy, and Johnny Partridge.

Fessler, Jessup, Tonkham and Mulroy competed in each of the four fall tournaments and are leading the Bulldogs with the lowest average round.

The 'Dogs face 11 teams including top 30 ranked St. Mary's and Missiouri.

"This is a course where course knowledge is crucial," Watney said. "We know what to expect and how to prepare for this good test. Plus, we all have another year of experience under our belt. I like our chances."
