In the 2013 Winchester Classic, the Bulldogs will face a field of 10 teams including co-hosts UC Davis and Nevada, Idaho, Long Beach State, UCSB, North Dakota, CSU Fullerton, Sacramento State and William Jessup.
"We have fond memories of Winchester Country Club," head coach Mike Watney said. "It is a stunningly beautiful golf course. Plus, we are the defending champions and three of our guys are returning to the site of a victory, so that should help us as well."
The three-day tournament will be held on the Winchester Country Club located in the foothills of the Sierra. The Winchester Country Club sits at an elevation of approximately 2,000 ft. and is home to a par-72, 7,144-yard, and 139-slope course.
The Bulldog lineup includes Rufie Fessler, Troix Tonkham, Nate Jessup, Johnny Partridge, Jack Mulroy and Daniel Russell. Fessler, Jessup and Mulroy each will return to the course of the Bulldog's first tournament victory since the San Marcos Invitational in February of 2008.
The Winchester Classic will be the final tournament the Bulldogs compete in before they head to the Mountain West Championship in Tucson, Ariz. on May 3-5.
