Sophomore Grant Doverspike has been named the Toyota/GoBulldogs.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 12. He is the second Bulldog golfer to receive the honor this year.

Doverspike, a sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif. (Stockdale HS), shot a 14-under 202 to finish in second place at the Pacific invitational in Stockton, Calif., Nov. 5-7. Doverspike carded three rounds of 68-68-66 to finish three strokes back of the winner, Charlotte¹s Stefan Wiedergruen. He had two bogey-free rounds and helped the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish in the tournament that was won by the then top-ranked team in the nation, Charlotte. His three round score of 202 marks the lowest under par Doverspike has shot.
