FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State is excited to announce that they have received the signed National Letter of Intent from Magregor Hoobery. Hoobery has signed to play golf for the Bulldogs starting in the fall of 2011.

Hoobery currently resides in Santa Maria, California and has created a very solid resume for himself.

Hoobery won the AGJA Junior in August of 2009. The new Bulldog posted a 5-under-par 67 to finish the tournament with a three-day total of 3-under-par 216. Hoobery has also won the FCWT tour and many other tournaments throughout his high school golf career.

"Macgregor has a very solid resume on the links and in the classroom," said head coach Mike Watney. "He has won numerous prestigious championships. He's a very nice young man from a great family."

The men's golf team is happy to welcome their newest Bulldog and look forward to playing with him in the 2011-12 season. The Bulldogs will be back in action this season on January 31 where they will compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate Tournament. This spring the team will also host their annual Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic on March 7-8 at Fresno's Sunnyside Country Club.
