    IRVINE, Calif. --- The Fresno State men's tennis team was back in action Sunday afternoon but fell 5-2 to UC Irvine on the road.

    In doubles, the Anteaters swept all three matches to give themselves a 1-0 lead.

    When action shifted to singles play, the 'Dogs only managed to pick up two wins, giving UC Irvine the 5-2 advantage.

    Fresno State's wins came at No. 1 in Reid deLaubenfels 6-0, 6-4 victory and a tough three set victory from freshman Felipe Fritz 7-6, 0-6, 7-6 at No. 5.

    The Bulldogs return to the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center next weekend to face San Diego State on Friday at 2 p.m. and Auburn on Sunday at 10 a.m.
