`Dogs Sweep Doubleheader

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 26 Fresno State men's tennis team added a pair of 4-0 wins on Sunday against San Francisco and Santa Clara, to remain a perfect 5-0 at home this year.
"It was great to come away with two wins against two quality California teams," Fresno State head coach Jay Udwadia said.
No. 26 Fresno State 4, Santa Clara 0
Fresno State's first match of the day pitted the Bulldogs against the Broncos.
The `Dogs won the doubles point, then proceeded to win three singles matches to clinch the match 4-0.
Tejesvi Veerepalli, Remi Boutillier and No. 83 David Ayoun each recorded singles victories for the Bulldogs. In doubles No. 36 Rikus de Villiiers and Remi Boutillier and No. 20 Taylor Leiby and Mirko Zapetal picked up doubles wins against the Broncos.

Fresno State continued the momentum to its second match of the day, as it swept San Francisco 4-0.
De Villiers put the Bulldogs on the board as a team with his 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ola Bakke.
Boutillier dispatched Mark DeCastro, 6-4, 6-0, in straight sets.
"I served really well," Boutillier said. "I had a high percentage of first serves and that helped me start every point in excellent position."
Leiby clinched the match for the Bulldogs by defeating Will Schumacher, 6-4, 6-4.
The `Dogs will look to continue their winning ways, as they head out to Charlottesville, Va., on Feb. 12 to take on No. 1 USC in the ITA National Team Indoors Sweet 16.
