Fresno State Drops Dual 4-3 to San Francisco

    SAN FRANCISCO--- The Fresno State men's tennis team fell 4-3 to San Francisco on Saturday afternoon at the California Tennis Club.

    The Dons grabbed at early lead over the Bulldogs after winning the doubles point with victories on courts one and two. Fresno State won one doubles match on court three with an 8-2 victory from Nikolas Papic and Sam MacNeil.

    San Francisco then extended its lead to 2-0 with a singles win in the No. 2 spot.

    Papic was the first to score for the Bulldogs, defeating Brockstedt (6-4, 6-2) on court five. Papic has won his last two matches in this position for the 'Dogs.

    The Dons rallied back, winning the next two points on courts one and three to clinch the dual.

    With the match decided, Eric Komati and Ethan Lopez finished their play strong on courts four and six. The two each won their respected points for the 'Dogs.

    The Bulldogs next face No. 74 Santa Clara tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Degheri Tennis Center.
