    LA JOLLA, Calif. --- The Fresno State men's tennis team completed day one of the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club on Friday.

    The 'Dogs picked up first round wins from the duos of Sai Kartik Nakireddi and Felipe Fritz as well as Reid deLaubenfels and Sam MacNeil.

    Nakireddi and Fritz topped Octavian Popaluca and Jason Wall in three sets, 7-6, 6-7, 6-2, while deLaubenfels and Mac also played three sets defeating Peter Frank and Philipp Seifert 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7).

    Fresno State's third doubles of Nikolas Papic and Jeremy Quiroz pair fell to No. 8 seeded Gregory Garica and Tyler Lu 6-0, 6-1.

    In the second round, Nakireddi and Fritz ran into the fourth seed pair of Alex Brigham and Raymond Sarmiento, falling 6-2, 6-2. MacNeil and deLaubenfels were also topped in the second round 6-3, 6-4 by Peter Lucassen and Raymond Sarminto.

    The Bulldogs continue action in the PCD tournament over the weekend.
