FRESNO, Calif. - The `Dogs completed day two of the Rebel Classic at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV, sending two competitors to the finals in each flight.

Bulldog freshman Remi Boutillier continued strong singles play as he improved to 3-0 in the tournament with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Graeme Kassautzki of New Mexico. Boutillier will face No. 49 Elliot Wronski of host UNLV in a Rebel-Bulldog flight one final Sunday.

"Remi is in good form right now, he's playing strong and with confidence," said head coach Jay Udwadia. "Tomorrow will be a good opportunity for him to pick up a big win against a strong competitor."

Flavio Mollinedo picked up his third victory of the weekend, cruising past Attila Toth of UNLV 6-4, 6-4 to earn a spot in the flight two singles final against Francois VanderMerwe of Fresno Pacific on Sunday.

"Flavio continued his strong fall play today," Udwadia said. "It's exciting to see two Bulldogs in each of the singles finals."

In doubles action Boutillier and de Villiers advanced to the finals after an 8-5 victory over Dahan/Katsarov of Cal in the quarterfinals and an 8-4 win over Burrows/Toth of host UNLV in the semifinals. Tomorrow's championship match will be the second of the fall season for the tandem.

"Rikus and Remi are playing well together," said Udwadia. "They've both competed well this weekend and will be ready for the finals tomorrow."

Bulldog junior Taylor Leiby picked up a win in the consolation round over Phillip Anderson of New Mexico 6-3, 6-2.

The Bulldogs will take the court Sunday featured in all three title matches; Boutillier in the flight one finals, Mollinedo in the flight two finals and Boutillier/de Villiers in the doubles final.
