    'Dogs Head to the Bay Area
    The Bulldogs (2-4) head to the Bay Area this weekend for duals against San Francisco and No. 74 Santa Clara. Fresno State first faces San Francisco (2-3) on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p. m., at the California Tennis Club in San Francisco, Calif. The 'Dogs then travel to Santa Clara the next day to dual the Broncos (4-1) at the Degheri Tennis Center at 11 a.m.

    About the Dons & Broncos
    Like the Bulldogs, San Francisco (2-3) has one of its two wins of the season over Idaho. The Dons most recently took down the Vandals with a score of 5-2 on Feb. 7. San Francisco's other win this year was over UC Davis. Fresno State dominates the all-time series with the Dons 8-0. The last time the two teams faced as in 2012, and the Bulldogs won 5-2 at the California Tennis Club.

    Santa Clara (4-1) heads into Sunday's dual with the Bulldogs on a three-match winning streak, having shutout all three of their last opponents 4-0. The Broncos only loss of the season came to Georgia State on Jan. 26. Fresno State holds an 18-0 series lead over Santa Clara, having won every matchup with the most recent victory coming in Fresno on Feb. 5, 2012.

    Komati Named Fresno State Student-Athlete of the Week
    Freshman Eric Komati was named Fresno State Sysco Student-Athlete of the week on Feb. 3, after winning three matches for the Bulldogs against Idaho and Oregon. He took his doubles match in the No. 2 spot over the Vandals and earned his singles point on court five in straight sets, helping Fresno State to a 6-1 win over Idaho on Feb. 1. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native then went on to win his singles point against No. 51 Oregon in the No. 3 spot the next day.

    Newcomers
    Austin welcomes the addition of four new Bulldogs to the roster this year. Freshman John Darmstaedter, Alexandros Georgios Vakouftsis, Eric Komati and Ethan Lopez will join the three returners for their first dual season with Fresno State this spring. Darmstaedter and Lopez joined the 'Dogs in August, 2013 and competed in all the fall tournaments while Komati and Vakouftsis are new additions this spring.

    Austin Enters Second Season
    Head coach Evan Austin enters his second season at the helm of the Fresno State men's tennis program. In his first year at the reigns, Austin led the Bulldogs to a fifth place finish in their first year in the Mountain West with a 2-4 record. Austin also guided the 'Dogs to their highest ITA ranking of No. 50, which came on Jan. 3, 2013. Under Austin's leadership one Bulldog was named to All-Mountain West singles team at the conclusion of season.
