Bulldogs Back in Action

By Stephanie Juncker FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State men's tennis team is back in action this weekend after a 13- day hiatus from competition. The 'Dogs will take on Pacific at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon (following the women's match that begins at 10 a.m.) and Sacramento State at 12 p.m. on Sunday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. About the Competition Sacramento State comes into Fresno looking for a win after dropping their last three straight matches. The Hornets (1-5) single win on the season came at a neutral site against UC Irvine in January. The Bulldogs and Hornets have not met since 2005. Fresno State has never lost to either Sacramento State (FS leads series 7-0) or Pacific (FS leads series 6-0). Last Time Out New Top 'Dog
Austin was the head coach at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, for the last two seasons where he posted a 45-6 (.882) overall record, won two MVC championships and coached two different conference Players of the Year, as well as winning two MVC Coach of the Year awards.
