Papic Stepping Up For The Bulldogs
Sophomore Nikolas Papic went a perfect 5-for-5 in Fresno State's last three matches, helping the Bulldogs to two wins over Pacific and UCSB. His doubles victory against Pacific helped clinch the doubles point for the 'Dogs, starting the momentum for the 6-1 win on Feb. 19 over the Tigers. He then went 2-2 against MW opponent No. 69 New Mexico in a narrow 4-3 loss two days later. Papic was the driving force behind the Bulldogs road win over UCSB on Feb. 23 as he went 2-for-2 against the Gauchos. He helped seal the doubles point with his win at No. 3, and then with the score tied at 3-3, Papic stepped up big for the Bulldogs to clinch his point straight sets at No. 4 for a Fresno State 4-3 win over UCSB. Papic is 6-3 in singles dual play while currently on a three-match win streak. Papic and his doubles partner, freshman Ethan Lopez are 4-1 at No. 3 and are currently on a three-match win streak.
