Texas Tech (12-5) enters Wednesday's match ranked 42nd in the ITA rankings. The Red Raiders have won five out of their last six matches, with the only loss coming against Boise State in a 4-3 decision.
The 'Dogs and Red Raiders have only met four times in history with Texas Tech owning the 3-1 advantage over Fresno State. The teams last met in 2011 with the Red Raiders picking up a 6-1 victory.

Fresno State is coming off splitting matches against Iowa and Willamette. The 'Dogs fell 5-2 to the Hawkeyes, but bounced back nicely to defeat the Bearcats 7-0. Fritz on Fire
Freshman Felipe Fritz has been a hot spot in the Bulldogs lineup as he has won seven straight singles matches. Three of the wins have come in three sets and he has played and won all four sets that have come down to tiebreakers. Against Purdue, Fritz made his first appearance in the top half of the line up at No. 3 where he won a very tight match 7-5, 6-4. He then moved up another spot in the line up to No. 2 against Iowa and Willamette where he picked up two wins. Against Iowa, Fritz defeated his opponent, who stood six foot and eight inches, in a come from behind second set tiebreaker.
