    FRESNO, Calif. - No. 44 Fresno State men's tennis team heads to Moscow, Idaho to open the 2011 Western Athletic Conference season. Fresno State will face No. 56 Hawaii on April 8 and No. 54 Idaho and Utah on April 9.

    Last Time
    Last weekend Fresno State hosted their final non-conference match against University of California Santa Barbara Gauchos. The Dogs earned an early lead and swept the Gauchos in doubles and continued dominance on courts two, three and four. The Dogs defeated the Gauchos, 4-3 and upped their record 8-8.

    National Rankings
    On Tuesday Campbell/ITA rankings announced, Fresno State is currently ranked in the top 50 at No. 44. The powerful doubles team, Rikus de Villiers and Remi Boutillier are ranked at No. 17 and Boutillier is ranked at No. 115 in singles.

    Taking a Look at Hawaii
    No. 56 Hawai'i (4-8) travels to Moscow, Idaho with a two match winning streak sweeping Air Force, 7-0 and defeating Cal Poly, 5-1. The Bulldogs lead the all-time record, 10-4 between these two teams. The last time these two teams met up was in the WAC Championship round last year and the Rainbow Warriors defeated the Dogs, 4-3. Hawai'i boasts the No. 122 singles player Dennis Lajola.

    Taking a Look at Idaho
    No. 54 Idaho (14-2) was recently defeated by fellow WAC competitor Boise State snapping a seven-match win streak. Idaho boasts nationally ranked singles player, No. 110 Marius Cirstea. The Bulldogs lead the all-time record 6-0 between these two teams, including the 4-0 victory in 2010 and 6-1 defeat in 2009.

    Taking a Look at Utah State
    Utah State (11-6) goes to Moscow, Idaho with a 5-2 victory over Weber State. Fresno State leads a 6-0 all-time record over the Aggies including a 7-0 and 4-0 victory in 2009.
