    'Dogs Host UNLV & Sac State in Home Finale
    After sweeping three home duals last weekend, the Fresno State men's tennis team (10-8, 2-3 MW) looks to continue its streak as they host UNLV and Sacramento State for its last home duals of the season this weekend. The Bulldogs square off with the UNLV Rebels in a Mountain West matchup on Saturday and then face Sacramento State on Sunday for Senior Day. Both matches are scheduled to start at 12 p.m. at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.

    About the Competition
    The UNLV Rebels (12-8, 2-1 MW) enter the dual match with the 'Dogs on a two-match winning streak with victories over Montana (5-0) on April 2 and Mountain West rival New Mexico (5-2) on April 6. The Rebels are 0-3 away from home this season. Ace Matias leads the Rebels playing at the No. 1 position and recently earned MW Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.

    Sacramento State (9-13, 6-4 BS) enters Sunday's dual with the 'Dogs following a loss at Northern Arizona (4-3) on April 6. The Hornets are 3-6 away from home this season and have been on the road for their last three matches. Marek Marksoo leads the Hornets at the No. 1 position on the roster.

    Senior Day
    Sunday is Senior Day at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. Fresno State will honor its sole senior, Sam MacNeil prior to the dual. MacNeil is from Denfermline, Scotland and came to the Bulldogs two years ago as a junior transfer from Brevard College. Since then he has contributed to the team's success throughout the season and to the overall program. Sam competed in all 24 matches during his first season with the Bulldogs at No. 5. He led the team in doubles with a 14-17 overall and 8-12 dual match record and was awarded Most Doubles Wins at end of the year team banquet. This year MacNeil has been a major contributor to the success of the team, leading the Bulldogs at the top two spots, currently 4-4 at No. 1. He has helped the team to its best record in two years, most recently lead the Bulldogs to a 7-0 sweep over Air Force last weekend by winning both his doubles and singles matches.

    Bulldog Leaders
    Sophomore Nikolas Papic leads the Bulldogs with a 12-4 dual record in singles play, he is 4-2 at No. 5 and 3-0 at the No. 2 slot. Papic and his doubles partner, freshman Ethan Lopez have a team-high record of 4-3 at No. 3. Senior Sam MacNeil and junior Sai Kartik Nakireddi are split at the top spot this spring. MacNeil is currently 4-4 at No. 1, while Kartik is 6-3.

    Papic Named Fresno State Student-Athlete of the Week
    Papic led the Bulldogs to three home wins last weekend over UC Irvine (4-3), Sonoma State (4-0) and Air Force (7-0) to improve Fresno State to 10-8, 2-3 MW on the season. Papic went 3-0 in singles play, winning all three of his points at No. 2 and 3. After being down 2-0 to Irvine, Papic won the first singles point for the 'Dogs to push for the 4-3 comeback win. In Saturday doubleheader, Papic then won his point on court two over Sonoma State for the Bulldogs second win of the day. Finishing the weekend strong, Papic to help shutout Air Force 7-0 in a Mountain West dual on Sunday by winning both his singles and doubles matches. Papic currently leads the 'Dogs with a 12-4 singles dual record, climbing all the way from No. 6 to No. 2.

    Up Next
    After concluding home play this weekend, the Bulldogs are set to hit the road to conclude regular season play with two Mountain West duals at Nevada (April 18) and Utah State (April 20) before hosting the MW Tennis tournament at Sierra Sport and Racquet Club April 23-27.
