    'Dogs Face Nevada in MW Quarterfinals
    As the host school of the 2014 Mountain West Championships, the Fresno State men's tennis team earned a No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed Nevada (18-4, 4-2) in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Sierra Sport and Racquet Club in Fresno, Calif. The Bulldogs have won 10 of their last 12 duals and finished regular season play with a 13-9 overall record, 3-4 in MW play. With their best finish in two years, the 'Dogs look to begin tournament play strong.

    About the Competition
    After concluding regular season play with back-to-back conference wins, Nevada (18-4, 4-2 MW) earned a No. 4 seed into the 2014 MW Championship. The Wolf Pack has won seven of its last eight and finished with an undefeated (10-0) record at home this spring. Nevada is led by senior Victor Ouvrard who enters the tournament with an 18-1 dual record, including going undefeated in conference singles play (6-0). The No. 52 nationally ranked doubles duo of Ouvrard and Robert Allan heads into the dual with the 'Dogs, with a 15-3 record in dual action. When the two teams recently faced in regular season, Nevada took the doubles point and defeated Fresno State 5-2.

    Bulldog Leaders
    The Bulldogs head in the tournament after most recently sweeping Utah State 7-0 on April 20 in their regular season finale. Sophomore Nikolas Papic leads Fresno State with a 13-6 dual record in singles play this spring. Freshman Eric Komati has a winning record at Nos. 3-5 and is currently on a six-match win streak with a 13-7 mark. Junior Sai Kartik Nakireddi is 9-4 at the top spot for the 'Dogs and concluded regular season with a 14-7 overall record.

    2014 Mountain West Tennis Championships
    Fresno State will serve as host to the 2014 Mountain West Men's and Women's Tennis Championships on April 23-27, 2014, at the Sierra Sport & Racquet Club in Fresno, Calif. This is the first time in conference history that the MW Tennis Championships will be held in Fresno. First-round action begins on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. Matches will start at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday-Saturday. The women's championship match will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. and the men's championship game will follow directly afterwards at 1 p.m. There will be a $5 cover for adults and $2 charge for children.
