FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State men's tennis head coach Jay Udwadia will take over the head coaching reigns for the New York Buzz of World Team Tennis for the summer.

This will be Udwadia's second season as head coach of the squad based in Albany, N.Y. In 2008, he guided the Buzz to the franchise's first WTT title.

The Buzz lineup features headliner Martina Hingis - a five-time grand slam winner on the WTA tour, as well as Sara Borwell, Alex Domijan and Scoville Jenkins. Barring injury, Hingis will play all 14 matches scheduled for the Buzz in 2010.

"I always look forward to the summers in the WTT," Udwadia said. "It's an exciting time and it always has a great atmosphere and we play against the world's best and legends of the game."

Some of the marquee players of the league the Buzz may face include household names such as James Blake, Kim Clijsters, John McEnroe, Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova, Andy Roddick, Michael Chang, Venus and Serena Williams and more.

The Buzz will have four matches nationally televised on Versus and the Tennis Channel, to be announced later.
