FRESNO, Calif. -Returning from his best recorded season, Fresno State men's head coach Evan Austin released Thursday the upcoming tennis slate for fall 2014.
In hopes of building from last year's 3-4 Mountain West finish, the `Dogs will begin their fall tournament season in Napa, Calif. on Sept. 12 at the Napa Invitational.
The Bulldog's will continue to compete on the road for six consecutive tournaments starting Sept. 27 and continuing through Nov. 9 before preparing for the spring dual match season.
Fresno State will be attending five tournaments within California in order to gain experience going into its 2015 season.
On Oct. 3 the `Dogs will visit UC Davis for a three-day match up followed by the UCSB Fall Classic on Oct. 10. The ITA Regional Championships will be held in Palo Alto, Calif. on Oct. 17 before attending the St. Mary's Fall Invite for the final in-state tournament held in Moraga starting Oct. 31.
Aside from the in state tournaments this fall, the Bulldogs are scheduled to travel to Tulsa, Okla. and Flushing Meadows, N.Y. during fall preparation.
The Fresno State men's tennis team will wrap up its fall tournament season at the USTA/ITA Indoor Collegiate Championships held in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. starting Nov. 6.
