FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State men's tennis team kicks off its fall season this weekend in the 2013 Silverado College Tennis Invitational. The tournament will be held at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., Sept. 13-15.

Second-year head coach Evan Austin will be sending four Bulldogs to the tournament- sophomores Felipe Fritz and Adriaan DuToit, as well as freshmen Ethan Lopez and John Darmstaedter. Fritz went 12-9 last season, moving all the way from the No. 6 spot the No. 1 spot throughout the year. As a part of Austin's first recruiting class, DuToit (Tulbagh, South Africa), Lopez (Oxnard, Calif.) and Darmstaedter (Hamburg, Germany) are all new to the Fresno State roster this year.

"We're all extremely excited to kick off our fall season in Napa," said Austin. "The guys have been putting in a great deal of work on the court and in the gym and we're looking forward to competing at a high level this weekend."

The Bulldogs will be competing in doubles and singles action against Oklahoma State, Idaho, Arizona, San Francisco and conference opponent UNLV.

This will be the first of six fall invitationals for Fresno State, which is scheduled to host its Bulldog Invitational, Sept. 27-29. The 'Dogs will also compete in the All-American Invite (Aug. 23-Oct. 3), UC Davis Fall Invite (Oct. 4-6), ITA Regional Championships (Oct. 18-22) and the Pacific Fall Invite (Nov. 1-3).
