FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State men's tennis team is set to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Men's Regional tournament this weekend, Oct. 18-23, at the Moraga Country Club in Moraga, Calif.
After competing in three tournaments this fall, the Bulldogs feel prepared to compete at a high level this weekend.
"The ITA Regional is one of the biggest fall events and a tournament we've been working towards for the past two months," said Fresno State head coach Evan Austin. "We're looking for our guys to really step up and play at a high level this weekend."
The 107-person tournament features players from California, UC Davis, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, Portland State, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's, Stanford, San Francisco and Washington.
Fresno State will be sending its whole seven-person roster to the tournament this weekend, which consists of Ethan Lopez, Nikolas Papic, Sai Kartik Nakireddi, John Darmstaedter, Adriaan DuToit, Felipe Fritz and Sam MacNeil.
The tournament kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and will begin at 9 a.m. every day thereafter.
