Fresno State Falls to San Francisco at Home

    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball broke its three-game win streak with a 76-47 loss to San Francisco on Friday night at the Save Mart Center.

    The Bulldogs (6-4) shot a season-low 29.1 percent from the field in the loss and saw the Dons get 16 points off of fast breaks.

    In a strong start, the game began with eight lead changes and three ties. After being knotted at 21-21 with nine minutes left in the first half San Francisco went on a 14-2 run in the next five minutes to gain a 35-23 lead.

    The Dons went on the lead the rest of the game to walk away with the win, handing the 'Dogs their largest loss of the season.

    The Bulldogs were out-rebounded 39-23 in the game as Dons forward Taylor Proctor led San Francisco with a game-high 19 points and 9 rebounds.

    Fresno State was led by senior Bree Farley who scored 10 points off of 3-for-5 shooting from the 3-point line.

    The Bulldogs forced 15 turnovers in the game and junior forward Alex Sheedy led the defensive charge with three steals. Sheedy also added a team-high five rebounds.

    Looking forward, the Bulldogs have a week off before hosting Stanford for their final game of their five-game home stand next Saturday, Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. for the men's double-header at the Save Mart Center.
